"While some of the production CTS-V components will be modified due to the unique demands of racing or to meet the SCCA series’ technical rules, every effort is taken to maintain as much production content as possible."
Thats from the GM Press Release, but upon browsing thru the SCCA rule book there is very little that must remain unaltered. The reciprocating parts (pistons, connecting rods, crank- shaft, etc.) must be stock OE parts, but may be tooled enough to achieve balance. Many of the other parts listed in the rule book are classified as "unrestricted". The cars obviously have safety roll cages installed but must retain much of the original body shell. So, I would say, very little is standard equipment and a whole lot is beefed up!
