CTS Trans shift characteristics?

Hey all! I've noticed since I bought my 03' CTS that when the trans is upshifting it's nice and smooth when under light to moderate load, but when it shifts into OD it shifts quite hard (all the time). Hard enough that the car will shudderback and forth a bit at times.

Is this a signiture with the 03' trannies, or could I have a Pressure Control Solenoid issue, or something similar with that gear??

TIA for your help.

Ross

No, it should not shift hard unless your on it. SES light? Onboard wont work, you may need to have car atleast scanned at GM dealer. Generic scanners wont always read all stored codes.

No SES light, but scanner is the next step. It seemed odd for it to be shifting like that, just under light loads.

Again, thanks for the info.
