TrueDelta.com has updated Car Reliability Survey results for the Cadillac CTS to include owner experiences through September 30, 2009. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2009: 24, better than average

2008: 67, about average

2005: 92, about average

2004: 71, about average

2003: 62, better than average

We've also introduced, two new statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.

In the case of the 2008 CTS, the percentage with no repairs is about 55, and the percentage of lemons is 3. Details:

2009: 45, small sample size

2008: 61

2006: 111, very small sample size

2005: 85

2004: 106, very small sample size

2003: 115, small sample size

The 2006 is worse than average, but the sample size is far too small to be precise. All of the others are about average.

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.

In the case of the 2008 CTS, the percentage with no repairs is about 58, and the percentage of lemons is less than one.

Starting this month we have a new question to measure, as objectively as possible, the severity of a problem. Many people have been asking for reliability stats that weight problems by how severe they are, and once we have enough responses with the revised survey we'll start providing this.

Decent sample sizes only for the 2005 and 2008, though the 2009 fell only a single response short of the minimum for a full result. Some other years were just a few responses short.
