Cadillac STS 2006 Cranks but will not start

Ok, I have a Cadillac STS 2006 3.6L, at first the car did turn on. We had to replace a star that was broken, and so we replaced the timing chain as well. At first the car did lock it self, and I waited 10 minutes so the car can be unlocked. Now the problem is the car cranks, but it will not turn on. The car seems to be flooded. I tried removing the 2 fuel pump relays and starting it with throttle body open and it helped a little bit. I have tried using starting fluid and it still does not turn on. We did not touch the crankshaft sensor at all. It did turn on before changing the timing belt, so what could it be? It does have good compression by the way.

Not sure what "star" means. I would check for codes. If no codes I would check crank sensor and possible connection issue from belt replacement. Did belt fail prior to replacement. This is a interference engine and will bend valves. Spraying flammable substance into engine and it not "hitting" would be an indication of no spark or way out of time. Scanner data may indicate tach or CPS reading depending on scanner

**Update: Ok I figured out it was a mistake, the compression was not good on one of the cylinders. So, there is bent valves. For some reason the car did turn on with the intake off. Now I know to replace the valves, just hoping the car would turn on after I replace the valves with the intake on.
