Borla Exhaust 3.2-2.8
 

I'm wondering if a borla exhaust system bought for an 03' CTS 3.2 will fit an 05' CTS 2.8? A guy down the street from me used to have an 03' he bought the exhaust for, but he sold the car to some guy who never came back to pick up the Borla Exaust system that wasn't put on the car yet. So he saw me at the gas station today and said if I want the exhaust to just swing by and pick it up, otherwise its going to the dump!! I figured hell why not! I'm going to pick it up tonight, but it just occured to me that it may not be that easy considering his car was a 3.2...

Does anyone know if this would fit my car, a 2.8?

I doubt it will bolt right up.
The 3.2 and 2.8/3.6 are totally different.

An exaust shop may be able to weld up some flanges to make it work for ya.

I think the 2.8's are single exhaust, while the 3.6's are dual. all the dimensions are the same, you would have to do a full cat back with X pipe to cross your duals out the back. I would just take it to a muffler shop and have them call around to find the Borla exhaust system for your make and model, and have them put it on...
