Alignment Problem

I am really upset. I have an 04 CTS and back in September 05, I took in the car because the front tires are completely worn on the outside. At the time, they suggested that it was an alignment problem and I will have to buy 2 new tires. The car only had 15k miles on it. I complained to GM and they were willing to reimburse the alingnment cost which is around $150. Again, last weekend, we noticed that it is doing the same thing. It's only been 6 months. So we took it in the dealership today and their answer was... GM is aware of the problem and the only thing they are suggesting is to rotate the tires every 4k miles. This really upsets me. I can continually write a letter to GM complaining, but when does it all end? Is anyone here having the same problem? Help!

Thanks.

RE: Alignment Problem

Tire wear has been a persistant problem with the cts, mainly the ctsv. If you've read the long-term tests by road and track they got only 3000 miles on there tires on the ctsv. And it was not just the rear tires that were worn. Given they drove the car pretty hard in that three thousand miles, but none the less 3000 miles is terrible. As far as i can tell you is to get an adjustable camber set for the front and rear and adjust as needed to move the balance point on the tire closer to the center. Unfortunatly I don't know of any camber sets, check with your local tire and suspension store. Hope this was helpful
