2009 Cadillac CTS-V noise at front wheels

I purchased a 09 CTS-V about a year ago with 8k miles on it. I have 25k on it now and when I am backing up and turn the wheel I get a loud knock from the front wheels. The dealer is telling me that there is nothing they can do about it. ??????? Anybody have a cure for this.
Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

hey Ken, you probably notice this happens more so when the temp. outside is colder. According to GM this is caused by the turning radius designed in the V's with the type of performance tires you have on your vehicle, some regular CTS's with the same tires have the same condition. There only 2 fixes, replace the tires with winter tires?? i know that doesnt sound cost effective. Or shorten the turning radius or not turn as sharp when you are backing up. The tires are catching the pavement and due the difference in the turning radius from the right front tire compared to the left front it binds then releases causing this condition. Which all is the design of the vehicle and the type of tires on this vehicle. I hope this helps shed some light on your question.
