2005 Cadillac CTS

Hey Folks, New to these forums. Bought a 05 CTS black/black about a month ago.

I'm loving it, other than the fact that it seems to surge a bit around 2k RPM when going up a hill or an incline. I'm not sure if it's the transmission or the fuel delivery system. I took it to GM and they couldn't find anything wrong with it (which doesn't surprise me considering the car is under warranty)

Specs: 3.6L FY7 Auto Trans (couldn't find a 6spd :() w/ 48000km

Any ideas?

Nope, no codes.

Thinking it may be something to do with the spark plugs.

Plugs should be good for 100k miles. Maybe one fouled? Sounds more like ICM but no codes?

Yeah def no codes. I notice the idle moves VERY slightly as well, you have to really watch carefully to see it move.

What exactly is an ICM? Intake something Manifold?

I know nothing about Cadillacs.

Thanks Gary.

idle control module......but you should have a service idle control system light come on, you didn't and have NO codes. Maybe after the weekend is over one of the techs will chime in and give you some ideas. Good luck.
