I HAVE 03 CTS WITH IN DASH 6 DISC CHANGER AND I HAVE GOTTEN A CD JAMMED IN THE CHANGER AND IT READES (MECH ERROR ) WHEN YOU TRY TO EJECT THE JAMMED CD. WITH THIS SITUATION I HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS:

1) CAN THIS BE FIXED?

2) IF NOT CAN I UPGRADE TO A FACTORY IN DASH NAV SYSTEM?

RE: 2003 CTS AUDIO QUESTION

Radio will likely need sent out for repair make sure shop know CDs are stuck inside.

There is no unlock code vin is progammed in to radio, it will only work in car that matches vin stored in radio.

Unless if you can reset the radio, you might have to unscrew a few screws and get the CD out one way or another. If you're not good with that kind of stuff then just do like slowroll said and take it to repair shop. If I was you and I had to take it to a shop, I'd spend $550 and get Pioneer In Dash DDIN navigation/dvd unit, but that's just me. CD stuck inside your radio shouldn't be too difficult to get out.

Try holding the eject button down for at least 5 second or more.
