94 Deville starter replacement 4.9L not the Northstar

Ok,so I have a feeling this is gonna be a dumb question but I'm just trying to figure out what tools I need to replace this starter.I have my rollaway at work and hate to get started on something and end up needing a tool. Also,I know I dont have to get into the intake to get to this one but I'm not sure if I have to yank it out from underneath or if I can change it out from on top since I can see it.If so am I going to have to take off my exhaust ? I have changed many starters but this front wheel drive has me at a novice status.Easy as the 'regular' starter swaps? I dont have another ride to run around in so I have to have everything I need and what I'm looking at.I have posted threads on here before and have always been helped on this forum..what a relief ! anyway thx in advance for any input from anyone..it would help...(tried to look thru the search and found nothing also on youtube.)..

Starter replacement isn't much different than any other GM car, really(other than the Northstar, of course). Disconnect the battery first, then the wiring on the starter solenoid, then remove the attaching bolts. Might be a tight squeeze, but it should come out with no major problems at all.
