Question Electronics disabling my ATS

I have a 2013 ATS, 2.0 with manual transmission, purchased new in April, 2013. 37K miles. During the last year the electrical system disables the car. It will neither start nor completely shut down. In one case, the engine was running, but the control system thought the car was off. My dealer, Doug's Cadillac in Shoreline, Washington, have conducted extensive tests. They've replaced the battery and both of the electronic motor mounts, which they said were sending signals that disabled the car. That worked for several months until yesterday. I started the car and after just a couple of seconds the engine shut down. The dash remained active, as though the car were powered on, but the ignition button was unresponsive. The car was towed to the dealer where it's again undergoing analysis.

I'd appreciate any insights you may have. Thank you.

Also, I have some videos of various behaviors that I've posted on YouTube. The site didn't accept them. Any suggestions?

The dealer should still cover it since it's on going but the base warranty has expired maybe. Powertrain should be still in effect. The Maybe part depends on your state. In some states days in shop are added to the warranty period. an example if your car was in the at the dealership for 60 days for warranty work not just this concern the 60 days could be added to the April delivery date to give you coverage into June. Consumer protection or a product lawyer could tell you your options. All I can tell you is these types of problems can be difficult to find. You pretty much need a GM scanner to see what's not happening Myself I wonder about push button but IDK. You don't want dealer to put it on your dollar since this is an on going concern. Good Luck.

Thanks, I appreciate your input. I've been thinking about a product lawyer.

Try to avoid lawyer in conversation with Cadillac or dealer until you are turned down. Once legal action is in progress things will change. Cadillac and their legal dept will run the show. it's part of GMs rules involving possible lawsuits, nothing unusual just so you know. Definitely consult with one they should be able to advise you of the process and risks

2013 SRX towed for no start after doing lights and whistles like the 4th. Dealership decided it was just the battery. After a month, new battery but not starting. Towed back to the dealership. 16 codes found, but going into day three with nothing close to an answer. Any clues?

2013 is no good. If interested in a pre-owned black/beige 2016 SRX Performance with 6k miles, contact me.
