OEM Wheels

Looking at some different OEM wheels for a 1991 Allante and found some I like, but they have an offset of 48, where stock is 40. Has anyone here tried that size before? Wondering if that might be too much of an offset and I don't have one to try. Any help? Thanks

any modification, even change of tire size can affect fit between tire and sheet metal. use caution!
