While in stop and go traffic, the brakes failed and the pedal went straight to the floor. The computer kept flashing between "service brake system" & "stability control system disabled". I waited 3 hours and had it towed. Once I got it off the tow truck, all the warnings went away and everything seems to be working fine. I had my mechanic look it over (he's a certified Caddy mechanic) he drove it for about 20 miles. No problems. I had him replace the front pads but that was it.
It seems ok at the moment but I am scared that the brakes will fail again. But can't trouble shoot it when there appears to be nothing wrong. Does anyone have any input on a similar issue?
