Default Brake Upgrade Options For Trailering With an STS

Hello everyone!

I have just recently found out that there is a RHD version of the 99-04 Sevilles that was sold in Japan.

Naturally, I miss my 02 SLS I had when I lived in the US, so I am planning on getting a RHD STS here.

Now, here in Aussie land, the majority of trailer towing is done with cars. The largest passenger 'trucks' are along the lines of the Ranger and Colorado.

So, here's my query. I am looking at getting an STS with a tow package on it, but I am much more used to trucks (had an 05 Ram 1500 WT before I came down here). One of my biggest things with my vehicles is doing everything safely. I know the STS has a nice braking system, but I want something a bit more powerful if I'm going to have a trailer behind it.

So, are there any easy-to-source rotor and pad upgrades, like slotted/drilled rotors and pads with a higher friction coefficient? I'm looking more for heavier braking than I am performance/heat bleed. What about caliper upgrades, or even an entire ABS system swap out for something more robust?

Has anyone done towing with an SLS/STS? If so, what kind of loads have you hauled and what response changes did you see from the braking system? Did you have any slipping or fading? Any excess wear or glassing of the pads?

not a lot of mods out there, however you maybe use brakes from sport DTS/ lucerne model - not certain. Trailering is tricky due to abs so I would inquire at a RV center.

There are no more options for it.You can use the well braking systems for your car but with these requirements you get nothing well.Suggestion above the best one for you,try it.
