i have 68 deville. with a 472 does anyone know how to get this oil filter adapter off. i have the bolts out and pryed the hell out of it. they say it has an o ring. but i don't wanna break it. any help would be good thanks guys.

 

On a 472 or 500 the oil pump is bolted to the outside of the block and the oil filter screws to the oil pump.. what I think you are thinking was a adapter, was the oil pump...There is not a O ring in the pump... What is your problem?
