Default torque converter clutch solenoid problem?

I own a 2003 cadillac deville. Recently, my neighbor, who is a retired mechanic, did a head gasket job for me. The car is running great, very smooth, but the "ABS-Brake-Traction" and "Check Engine Soon"lights come on and I need to know how to turn them off. I had Autozone do a scan and the codes P0741, P0440, and P1860 came up. Here in Arizona we don't have to have inspections and I'm wondering if the evaporative emission system (code P0440) applies to my car. I welcome advice from anyone who has had this problem.

You can turn them off with a scan tool or the auto parts store can do it but if the problems are still there then it will just come back on. The po440 code does apply to your car it is saying you have a leak in your evap system. This code will most likely not effect the way the car runs though. The p0741 code refers to an internal transmission problem. It could be either the soleniod for the converter clutch the torque converter itself, a pcm or electrical fault. usually it's the soleniod or the torque converter if its the converter then the transmission has to come out to replace it.The p1860 code together with the p0741 code mean you probably need a new transmission in all likelyhood, sorry.
