2004 DTS Transmission Leak

I discovered my 2004 DTS has a transmission leak. It had been shifting funny for a while i thought it just wasnt warming up long enough because it would stop after driving a little ways. I was trusting my tranmission % readout. After it seemed to get worse I checked my fluid I found my fluid to be low about a month ago, added some, then it was shifting fine. Within a month it is shifting funny again. I added some more thinking I didn't add enough. (even though you should only have to add like .5 qt at most). To my surprise this morning my car looked like it was bleeding.

Any probably causes or common causes? About how much will it run me if I need a new one? Or how much to fix a seal or pan? The leak looks to be toward the back end of the engine. Its front wheel drive.

RE: 2004 DTS Transmission Leak

Fluid is leaking from the backside of the motor. The car has about 72k on it. I bought it used this past June. I will see if I can get pictures up soon.
