RE: What is code 1\I027 PRND321

I had a problem once or twice with my prnd321 lights on my dash flashing while in drive. The floor shifter didn`t feel in right position, but I didn`t try to pull codes at that time. I`ll be watching to see if you get an answer to your problem, as it may be mine also.

I027 PRND321 switch failure code

which car , model, year?
other codes ? driveability ?
not enough info provided

for the I027 PRND321 switch failure code, typically, neutral switch on transmission is with issues.

Disconnect battery ground cable.
Disconnect shift cable from transaxle.
Disconnect electrical connector from switch.
Remove switch mounting bolts and switch.
Align flats on switch with flats on transaxle shaft and push switch over shaft and fully seat on transaxle.

Install and torque switch mounting bolts to 20 ft. lbs. If switch was rotated and pin is broken, switch will be automatically reset to neutral position as follows:

Place transaxle shaft in neutral position.
Install switch on transaxle and loosely install mounting bolts.
Insert a 3/32 inch gauge pin into service adjustment hole of switch.
Rotate switch until pin drops in detent.
Torque mounting bolts to 20 ft. lbs.

buy a factory service manual !
