1984 Cadillac Eldorado

Hello,

I havea black 84 eldo. It's beautiful, clean and has 64,000 original miles. The 4.1 engine is weak. It's reliable, but weak. What i plan to do is put a beast of an engine under the hood. I'd like my eldo to be a classy on the outside with a lot of muscle in the inside. Can someone suggest such an engine that i can replace with the old one ? Or let me know what website could help me out?

I really appreciate it. Thank you,

David

RE: 1984 Cadillac Eldorado

Depends on engine you want. DFI is not going to work and your 325-4l may not survive without some help. Easiest Olds small block 350-403 Toronado engine or 368 or 425 Cady with Eldo pan. If you have a big budget you could try to shoe horn the 500 / 425 thm or 455 / 425 thm. With the big engine swap cowl type hood scoop maybe required. If going for 403 stay away from crank trigger ignition engine.
