Need a little help with identifying Sevilles by year. I recently purchased a 2004 SLS, and for whatever reason, I’m keep looking at other Sevilles as I’m driving and trying to determine their year. When did Cadillac start the Seville body style that looks like mine ? Are their some subtle differences between the years with this body style ? I know that the last year of the Seville STS was 2003 and I have noticed some minor differences in the rear end (around license plate), tail pipes (single square vs dual round) and Northstar logo (spelled out vs plate) , but is there some way to get pretty close to guessing the year ? Thnaks ....Tom

Generally Cadillac makes cars in groups with little changes to them .... The model that you have now was made between 1998 and 2004. Only slight differences can be seen, the major difference would be the emblem 2002 and later ... Before that group was 1992 to 1997 ... Most of those models had hood ornaments on them! Of course the longest running style that I'm aware of was the Brougham that held the same body style with only little changes for 12 or 14 years! So we should expect to see a new STS design sometime in 2010 or so !!!!
