My 92 Eldorado transmission slips into neutral momentarily while sitting still with it in Drive. The problem is very intermittent, cold, hot, anytime. I can put the Trans in 3rd gear at stop and it never happens. Any help????

Hi, a few weeks ago, I had the same problems with my 95 eldorado. At my car one of the solenoid valves of the trans was broken. There are two of them in the pan of the trans. The GM repair kit costs about 60$ and it means about 3-4 hours of work to change them by DIY. Could you tell us if there are any trouble codes? Turn on ignition, but you mustn`t start the engine, then push the off and the warmer butten of the A/C at the same time. On the display now appear the trouble codes, in my case there was P029 appearing. Greetings Franz.
