Hi Guy's,, Newbie here,,, I have had warped brake rotors issues with both 89 and 99 Eldo. Its caused by hitting any water puddle when rotors are hot. Over period of time you will notice brake pedal surge or steering wheel vibration when brake are applied. I noticed that on both of my cars there are no inside brake rotor shields. I dont think the factory ever installed them but they are on other Gm vehicles I own. Question: Anyone have these issues and other than resurfacing rotors , is there any other fix? I have thought of replacing rotors with the new cross drilled groved design but I don't think it will make any differance unless they are made of denser material. Anyone?

all rotors warp, and it isnt so much an issue of water hitting them, but if you consistantly heat then cool then heat then cool extensively, any substance will warp. heavier vehicles are worse for this ebcause it takes more effort to stop them, thus creating more heat...cross drilled or slotted rotors are always better for cooling, but over time, all rotors will warp.
