Hello everyone,

I'm a freelance photographer for Modified Luxury & Exotics magazines and I'm looking for some nice modified cars to submit for possible feature articles.

Before everyone jumps in and says "I want my car in a magazine", there are a few ground rules that need to be laid down.  First, since this is for a Modified magazine feature, you car needs to be modified beyond the normal bolt-ons.  The car needs to stand out among the other cars of its type.  Stop and ask your self, is your car in the top 3 for your city or town.  If you answer yes to that questions, ask your self if you car is in the top 10 of this site.  If the answer is still yes, I’d like to see what you have to offer.

We are looking for cars that are modded for performance more then for show.  That being said, you will have to have at least a nice set of rims and clean paint for looks.  The more exterior mods you have done, the better the chance of getting selected.  It does not matter if it is a shop's car or your private ride and while performance numbers of some kind are preferred, they are not required.

I'm currently looking for car in CO, NM, KS, UT and WY areas.  If you live else where in the US and have a car you think is truly worth magazine coverage, I will have my editors put you in contact with a local photographer that they use.

What I need from you is a complete mod list, a few snap shots of the car so we can see what it looks like.  I do not want you to give me your address or specific location at this time.  What state you live in will be fine for now.

Feel free to post your car's info in this thread or email it to me at services@performanceimagery.com.  If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you for your time,

Keith Upton

Geeze, I've boken my back, my bankroll and my asthetic desires for the past five years just to keep my car stock,  just as GM paid Farina millions to design it!

i would think that modifying the performance of the soft top might qualify ...
and
lets not forget the OEM rims  chromed  for pre-93's ?  might also qualify
and
what was that Brian's steering wheel?  the NARDY ...
and the best ...
dash built in LCD / DVD player

what u think ?

(guys, we're discussing Allanté)

It just goes to show ya, broke wallet and back for what?  If I ever decided to get another allante I would look for one already moded or one that I could mod myself.  Unfortuately, there are lots' of folks over on the OTHER SITE that have these cars that think they are collectibles.  IMO WRONG, unless you have a 93, with few miles and that's only maybe.  Bah Humbug

zinzin,

i am partial to the design looks and the LUXURY of our Allantés.
i dont particularly like Allanté mods that you can see ..  but, under the hood?
give it to me.

i will even be glad to install a SUPERCHARGED fender ornament when
and if we figure how to do that under the hood.. and not get a police citation.
i may have to cut the VIN off a '93 dash and move it over to my '88 along with
the electronics that go with the N* powertrain that i be moving over.

except for the technical issues and the EPA / SMOG CA rules, i would not
hesitate in picking up a roll-over ElDorado and canibilize its N* drivetrain
to drop it in the '88 - 295hp vs 170hp?  .   supercharge it to 550hp?  ohhhh yes !
would they fit under the hood? where?

like Gary and many of us have said, the Allanté will be a collectible
at its 50th anniversary .. when 90% of them have gone by way of the crusher.
not before.   now on the 19th year and counting ...

for now,  it is of Italian decent, low drag
coefficient (0.34) matching the Testerossa,
and one of the best performing and shortest stopping brake system in the planet.

my yet unborn grandkids, 30 years from now, will talk about the Allanté grandpa
has in the cave .. maybe by then, with a nuclear powered hydrogen, green safe, carbon
neutral power drive train/plant  .. and a levitation system.
