Excuse the rant guys-pet peeve time.  What ever happened to baseball reporting?  Game on tube after BoSox get rained out tonight,  and Bozo just got a double to go with his opening single and the announcer proclaims that the guy is just two hits from a natural cycle.  If I read that a guy goes 3 for 4 and it is reported that he was only a triple away from the cycle ( or homer or single or double) one more time and I'm gonna scream!  Won't be long that a 0-4 night gets reported that he was only 4 hits away from the cycle.  Jeeez!

We've been blessed here in Boston over the years with the likes of Curt Gowdy and now the two best I have ever heard anywhere at any time.
Jerry Remy (former sox 2nd baseman) and his parnter Orsino.
There is a huge moan in Red Sox nation when Fox or worse ESPN carries one of our games. I always go to mute when I see Joe Morgans lips move.
Often wondered why the networks aren't smart enough to use the local teams announcers. I have never heard one being more favorable to the home team and feel like spitting when the network boys attempt to teach us all the game of baseball.

The last thing you will ever do is count out the Yankees  this early in the season. They'd have to hit "700" baseball from here on out to catch the sox but I would never count out a team managed by Joe Torres.  And especially with that lineup.
This week will count for something. Three in new York against the Sox. And they'll be putting up their best pitchers vs The Sox three weakest
We just had a lovely baseball weekend in Boston. Heavy rain for three days forcing one cancelled game made up in the rain and played  the next day as a double header. Another group of days with three wins against Baltimore and two out of three against the Atlanta Braves.
We are "rolling" this year and all have fingers crossed against those injuries that have already blown the seasons chances for a couple good teams.
"Life is good!"  Wait until "Manny" wakes up.
Coco is wonderfull!

If they don't sweep the Sox or at least 2 of 3 poor ole Joe is gone by Monday.  Maybe I can get "quick to make a bet Bill"   to put a little on that.

For the record I am a Phillies and Marlins fan ( Marlins just beat 'em last night), not a sox fan.  But in the true tradition of being a gator hater I am a yankee hater.  Sox beat 'em yesterday, if they get at least one more win say goodbye to ole Joe.  Giambi on the other hand has his own problems.

Go Sox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn I almost hate to agree with you G.A.R.Y. but I now think that Torre won't make it til this time next week!  starting a 10 game road trip 0-1 by losing to Toronto is a bad omem. 3 & 7 gets Joe to feel George's rath!
