Cadillac Allanté factory OEM RIMS Wheels were painted on 1987 to 1992 and both a painted and a chrome (optional) was offered for the 1993 models - Allante rims were 15" in 1987 & 1988, and 16" thereafter. Q: How many Allanté FACTORY OEM rims were there? A: Three different rim designs, one of which changed size in 1989. 1. the optional Factory 1993 OEM CHROME, metal centers. (same as the 1994 Cadillac DeVille CONCOURS OEM Chrome wheel) 2. the Factory 1993 OEM no chrome, some plastic centers. (notice the BULLET TIPS and NO recess like the chromes in #1) 3. the standard factory OEM 15" rim on 1987 & 1988 4. the same standard factory OEM rim but in 16" on 1989 - 1992 (items 3 & 4 ar identical except for the size.) Everything else is NOT Allanté factory OEM ... There was only one Allanté CHROME design. A 16" chrome rim was offered as an option only in '93 with unique recessed BULLET TIPS. The chrome rim is somewhat "different" than the standard 1993 painted aluminum alloy rim which did not have the recessed tips design. also notice the center cap, much different than the standard factory OEM rims of 1987-1992.
