Hey Boys,

This is what I got. I have a 1998 Deville that started to slip with the tranny. I also noticed that the speedometer was very erratic with the readings. It would go from 50 to 38 to 19 to 0 to 45 to 28 to 50 mph while maintaing a constant speed. Now  the problem is solid with the speedometer reading zero and the transmission slipping contantly. I ordered the VSS sensor but have no idea where excalty it is located. HELP!

Take off the passenger side wheel.
Then follow the CV axle to the transmission.
Just above where the axle meets the trans and about 6 - 8 inches inboard is the VSS.
One 10mm bolt attaches it to the transmission.

Found the VSS sensor behind passenger wheel and replaced it. It fixed the problem. The sensor cost me $18.00 at AutoBarn Parts. Thanks FLCaddtech.
