Q:
Allanté CHROME rims, FACTORY OEM?

A: 
ONE and only one CHROME design.   the 16" rim was
offered as an option only in '93.  notice the recessed BULLET TIPS.

the chrome is somewhat "different" than the painted aluminum alloy which did
not have the recessed tips design.   also notice the center cap,
much different than the standard factory OEM rims of 1987-1992..

FOUR different rims. 
1. the optional Factory 1993 OEM CHROME in post #1,
2. the Factory 1993 OEM not chrome
   (notice the BULLET TIPS and NO recess like the chromes in #1)

3. the standard factory OEM   15" rim on 1987 & 1988
4. the same standard factory OEM rim but in  16" on 1989 - 1992
    (items 3 & 4 ar identical except for the size.)

that is it.  everything else is NOT Allanté OEM ... NOT.




this is the #2 item,  standard FACTORY 1993 OEM rim/wheel:

        good post Stealth,  always wondered.  my '89 wheels sit in boxes waiting for the right opportunity to be chromed!  Must win lottery!

Hmmm.....I read with interest your info about factory rims.  I have a 87 Alante with 15" weels but the center is chrome. If it quits raining I could go take a picture. Are these factory or did someone just chrome the wide ring around the center cap?
