ORIGINAL: tmouin Hello! I'm new to this forum, but I've loved Cadillacs since... ever. I'm finally going to buy one, after my 1980 Pontiac Bonneville died, but I have a few questions that I don't know where to post. Here is my major concern. The 1987 Brougham d'Elegance that I'm about to buy has a broken steering column. (Don't ask how they've done it, I don't know) The thing is, it seems unrepairable. Now, here is my question. What other GM steering column would fit? Would a Caprice (from around 1977 to 1985) column fit? Would a 1982 camaro (third gen) column fit? I'm asking this because here in Switzerland it isn't really easy to find parts, especially for a Cadillac. So if I can find out that another column would fit without modifications it would be great, so I'll have time to look for the right one but drive the cadillac anyways... thank in advance for any help!
