Hi all,

New member here who desperately needs some input regarding a 1989 Eldorado Biarritz that I'm negotiating to buy. The Vin indicates it's a 1989, and it doesn't have an air bag, which was standard in 1990. I've read that it was in 1990 that the engines were modified with higher compression and port fuel injection. This car, although it has less than 30k miles, and appears to be completely unmolested, bears the PFI logo on the engine. This car was first registered in May of 1989. Is there a chance that some 1989 Eldorados received the 1990 model year engine, or is this a read flag that something is not right here?
Thanks in advance for any help with this question.        Scott

Hi, I just wanted to thank you for responding to my question, and to let you know that the mystery has been solved. It turns out the seller had posted a picture of the engine of another Eldorado that he previously owned. He sent a corrected photo, so now it all makes sense. Thanks again!
