Uranus/BCOP says he can't post here for tech reasons. Sorry I don't buy it. So I will try this to see if we can get a response. A Republican in a wheelchair entered a restaurant one afternoon and asked the waitress for a cup of coffee. The Republican looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus sitting over there?" The waitress nodded "yes," so the Republican requested that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, on him. The next patron to come in was a Libertarian with a hunched back. He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sat down, and asked the waitress for a cup of hot tea. He also glanced across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus over there?" The waitress nodded, so the Libertarian asked her to give Jesus a cup of hot tea, "My treat." The third patron to come into the restaurant was a Democrat on crutches. He hobbled over to a booth, sat down and hollered, "Hey there, honey! How's about gettin' me a cold glass of Miller Light?" He, too, looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that God's boy over there?" The waitress once more nodded, so the Democrat directed her to give Jesus a cold glass of beer. "On my bill," he said. As Jesus got up to leave, he passed by the Republican, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Republican felt the strength come back into his legs, got up, and danced a jig out the door. Jesus also passed by the Libertarian, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Libertarian felt his back straightening up, and he raised his hands, praised the Lord and did a series of back flips out the door. Then Jesus walked towards the Democrat. The Democrat jumped up and yelled, "Don't touch me.. I'm collecting disability."

naw .. i hear he is wearing a yellow shirt full time. -------------------- now, here is another extremist Democrat "we, the govt, know better" i understand the ORDINANCE passed but had a "implant a chip" cluase added .. --------------------------------------------- DOG BREEDING, SPAY/NEUTER ORDINANCE PUBLIC HEARING & VOTE TO BE HELD APRIL 18 Los Angeles – A public hearing on the County’s proposed dog breeding and spaying/neutering ordinance for all breeds of dogs will be held at the Board of Supervisors meeting on April 18, 2006, Mayor Michael D. Antonovich announced. Prepared by the County’s Department of Animal Care and Control, County Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer, the ordinance provides breeding restrictions and mandatory spay/neuter programs for all dog breeds. There will be exemptions for medical problems, show dogs and other situations that are currently being identified. On February 21, 2006, the Board of Supervisors approved a recommendation by the director of Animal Care and Control to include all dog breeds in the mandatory spay/neuter ordinance and continued this item until the public hearing on April 25, 2006. However, since the Board of Supervisors’ annual meeting in Washington, D.C. is on April 25, the item was moved up one week to April 18. In addition to reducing stray dog overpopulation and euthanasia in County shelters, this ordinance will protect public safety and increase enforcement to encourage responsible pet ownership. ============================= "a new ordinance was passed regarding spaying/neutering and micro-chipping your dog:" In an effort to improve public safety and reduce the number of stray dogs overwhelming our animal shelters, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has passed an ordinance that requires all residents of unincorporated areas in Los Angeles County to have their dogs spayed or neutered and have an identification microchip implanted in each dog. The measure applies to all dogs over the age of four months kept in unincorporated (non-city) areas of Los Angeles County. .===================================================== "Dogs In Open Vehicles: It is illegal to transport any dog in or on the back or bed of any open truck or other open vehicle while traveling on any county road, street, highway, lane or alley." "Backyard Breeder -- Dog Breeding License Required: Any person, except for someone having a valid kennel license who, for pay or other compensation, breeds a female dog must obtain an animal breeding permit. The permit fee is $125." ===================================================== just as a FYI, some hospitals are now doing it ... Barcode Babies: Microchip Implantation in Hospitals Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center will become the second provider organization that can read radio frequency identification chips embedded in patients, the VeriChip system--from Delray Beach, Fla.-based Applied Digital-- .." The technology can read the vendor's RFID chips that have been implanted underneath a patient's skin, between the elbow and shoulder. Each VeriChip contains a 16-digit identification number assigned by Applied Digital. ---------------------------------------------------- Big Bro is watching ....

If big bro wants to implant a chip in my dog, I don't care, they can watch them all they want. NOW IF they want to implant a chip on me, different story. Please keep in mind that NOT ALL IMPLANTS are bad.

dont think so. we got people with them even now, question is when will its use spread in the population. i expect that felons and international travelers will be required to have them within our lifetime. remember bar code? a way to not put a price sticker on every item and the stir that caused? well - how is that going? in LA you can get a gismo for parking. it ID's the car and approved parking w/o you having to touch the parking meter. as of Jan 1, 2007 we cannot leave or return to the US without a PASSPORT. the ID chip will just make it so much easier. many shipments are now tracked via such technolgy. some military groups are using the implants to ID their field operatives. did anyone expect that the govt would jump in and REQUIRE the ID chips for pets to enforce city ordinances? after all, the chips were designed for owners to be able to find their pets should they be lost not to make it easy for the govt to be intrusive. you really think that is a stretch? quote:
