Well the Alternator is part Number Ac Delco 334-2317 it shows years 87 - 92.  I am using this alternator as an upgrade for another vechical an wanted to verify the wire connections. I know the S connection goes the the bat terminal and the L conntection senses voltage.  Not sure if i need the F connection.  I guess any year wire diagram (87 - 92) will give me the info that I need. Thank you for the reply.

Can't help with the wiring but just a suggestion if the alternator is anything like the one in my "87."  The plug for the wiring snaps in underneath the alternator close to the engine heat. The plastic "clips" which hold the plug in become brittle over time and can break when hitting bump and the plug can fall off after a couple more bumps. I have heard that this is becoming a problem with older cars like mine. So the tip is "after you get the alternator plugged in to pass a plastic tie under it and secure it firmly to the alternator. (Not wanting to "hunt" in the rain, I drove my car home on the battery when I got my first DIC warning.)
