well i had thought it was the egr valve and was going to replace it but i figured now that its warming up i may clean the passages and see if that helps before buy a new EGR valve. As for for good looking cadys i saw a pic of your deville and that is quite a clean looking car .

ya thats the cady. i was almost tempted to sell mine to try to get a newer one like yours. they look as if they ride way nicer than my 92 plus they got more power.

I can't compare the ride to a 92, but today a back seat passenger commented on how nice it was to relax on the sofa and we were on travelling at 70 MPH on the highway, that must say something about the ride. As for power, someone coined the phrase "a Muscle Car in a Tuxedo" and that is a very accurate statement. I know because I drive this around in the summer:

97, 98, 99 look like mine and have the 4.6 l.. The 93 to 96 have a different quarter panel that covers the wheels otherwise pretty much the same. As far as the 4.9 l goes the cars with it will have single exhaust on right side. The 4.6 l Northstar cars will have dual mufflers and tail pipes plus an emblem on the trunk lid "32V Northstar"
