i was wondering how fast my stock 2004 cts (it is the 3.6L engine) would go and i figured it out but most websites say it will go faster then what my caddi went. i have the sport package in the car but sport mode was NOT on i was passing 130mph and a message came up on the screen saying top speed limit fuel cut or something or other does anyone know if the top speed is higher with sport mode ON

This post is not going to help you much at all,but was wondering why the hell you would want to go any faster than 130. Death wish perhaps. I would be very content at 100 or so. Anyway, enjoy your ride.

I have the sport pckage on mine as well, and with sport mode on, I have had it up to 153, I had to slow down, but I think the sport mode over rides the governor.
