Does any body now how to turn off the park control on the navigation\dvd on the xlr.

i would think that if you searched through options, or just checked in the owners manual it would tell you, no?

I think the issue is GM liability. They do not want you watching a movie or twiddling with the map as your driving down the road. However there is a “hack” number than will override the lock out. Look on the XLR Form for the numbers and procedure. I’ve tried it and know it works. It is not a permanent hack and must be re-entered each time you turn the car off. But it is dead simple to do. Good luck and keep your eyes on the road and not on Pamela A.

yes ,, i hacked once the password .. and worked for that day only ..
but then i tried to enter every single password but it wont work ..!!

WHY ?

You have to purchase a modual and have a mechanic by-pass the safety feature it should cost about two hundred dollars or so
