RE: ERROR CODE MEANINGS/ FIXES?? - 9/9/2008 1:36:29 PM    NEWCADYOWNER   Posts: 34 Joined: 9/3/2008 Status: offline -i took the new starter out and hooked it up to my dads tester( i didnt know he had a machine to tast starters-just like the one at advance) and the starter was bad... good voltage going to it (the purple wire)..... -the engine is not loked up .... -im gonna take it back and hope they''ll give me a new starter (make them test it there too before taking it home)..... - ill report back when i install it....  _____________________________ 1994 seville sts (in reply to stomper) Post #: 21

RE: ERROR CODE MEANINGS/ FIXES?? - 9/10/2008 9:37:49 AM    NEWCADYOWNER   Posts: 34 Joined: 9/3/2008 Status: offline yes, he tested the new one at the store in front of me before i took it home and then i double checked it when i got home before putting it in the car and IT WAS A GOOD STARTER... they''re getting fried somehow when there in the car!!! thats what i was trying to say before... maybe i just worded it wrong..   i checked the thick wire that runs from the battery to the starter and it appeared good.... I also checked the other wire as far as i could that plugs into the starter its GOOD... the smaller wire that comes off the starter.. were does it lead to?...       _____________________________ 1994 seville sts (in reply to Stealth) Post #: 24
