Hi, I have a 2006 DTS. I had to replace the battery, which apparantly caused the computer information function to stop. The dealership said that it will take a few weeks before the computer function kicks in again. Is that accurate? Is there anything I can do to restart the computer? Rich

When I took the car for state inspection, I failed because the computer was not providing feedback codes on emissions. At that point the inspector asked if I had replaced the battery; that that could have dumped the computer. He said that the computer would have to be providing the necessary feedback to pass. The dealership told me it would restart after a couple hundred miles. The other day I went very very low on fuel without any caution message. I assume the computer is still not providing information. Can I do anything to restart the information function?
