The suggestion from most technicians would be to not lower the engine temperature. This is NOT a 55 Chevy. If the engine does not get to temperature, the computer will deliver too much fuel at all times, adversly affecting fuel mileage. Also heater will be slightly affected, smog test results will be affected as well. This car is designed to run a 195 thermostat and stabilize at approx 210 degrees. Cars running at 180 degrees disappeared in the late 70''s. When people change computer chips and thermosts to up the horsepower they do it knowing fuel mileage will suffer.
