''92 Deville 4.9L

Three error codes came on today:

PO52
PO91
IO52

They all came on at same time and was wondering what each mean and what needs to be replaced?

The P052 means the PCM''s memory has been reset. The second one, P091 means PRNDL Switch Problem (transaxle range switch problem). The last code is Keep Alive Memory Error. Posts from others mentioned this handy-dandy code translation site at http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd1.html#ipc.

Good luck.

The car is probably running fine, that transaxle code could come on for something as simple as moving the gear selector when the car was moving. If you are the type to worry about these things take it in, me I''d clear the codes and keep on trucking.

One more code showed up P047... so I took it to the dealership to find the problem.  The dealership said I have a ground problem and may take several hours to find.  Has anyone experienced this problem?  Is there a specific place to look for loose, corroded or damaged ground wires?  Does the negative battery cable need to be replaced, etc?
