Low Oil Pressure - 7/9/2008 1:28:46 PM    Joe   Posts: 1 Joined: 7/9/2008 Status: offline My 1995 eldorado sometimes says low oil pressure when i come to a stop, my brother works at a shop and has looked at it and cant find a reason for it saying it, can anyone tell me why my car does this(it only happens once in awhile and typicailly happens when im stopped) Post #: 1

Other possibles balancer bolt not torqued to spec.(no key way for oil pump, depends on bolt forcing balancer against oil pump gear and primary timing gear on crank) pump pressure relief valve getting hung open by foreign material. Low oil level, oil moves away from pickup in sump. For 2. Idle speed is too slow to pump oil at normal pressure. James (in reply to slowroll) Post #: 4

Some of these $19.99 oil changes are using oil that is thinner than cooking oil. Name brands only way to go with oil and filter. (in reply to carnut) Post #: 8
