Hello,

I have been a truck guy for most my adult life, I have had cars as secondary vehicle''s but primarily drove pickups. I just sold my 03 f-350 and am looking at used DTS''s. I been combing the dealer lots and watching the Trading Times. There are quite a few available. I think a 05 or 06 will be what I end up with. They seem to be a great value and a good family car. I have a wife and two small kids so I need the room of a full size car. I am also 6''5'''' so the bigger the better.

Do you guys have any suggestions on what to look out for when buying a used DTS? Are there problems with certian options I should be steer away from?

As in any used car, I would have my mechanic check it out, codes.coolant, frame, etc. etc. Check out our faq for more info.  If car is still under warranty then  no worries mate.  The car is a sweet ride you and your family will enjoy.

I have an 06 DTS. Purchased as a Caddy Certified from a GM Dlr. The car has been problem free the past year except for a faluty O2 sensor which was replaced last fall.
The ride is terrific and the milage is not bad. 19.2 city 28.3 hwy.
