Hi,
I have a 1997 Eldorado with 100K and the engine runs rough for the first five or ten minutes until it warms up. It is much worse in the winter when the weather is cold. Also, it takes a few tries to start in the winter time also. This car sits in my garage and only gets driven a few miles per month on nice days but I do want make sure it runs perfect. Am I doing more harm than good by not driving this car very much?  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

You might have to drive it a little more every month to keep things moving. My car does the same sometimes, I have to clean the EGR valve with some carb/choke cleaner, that's one of the reasons it does that, another reason is probably that it's been 10 years and you might need a new tune up with some new spark plugs, new wireset and etc...

Hi, Thank you for the reply. I am going to give my car a complete tune up and see if it runs better. Thanks for your suggestions.
