Hi, Im a newbie here on site and a 1st time caddy owner.I just bought a 99 STS with 125k on it and felt like I got a decent deal for 4900... I have noticed 3 issues already and hope someone might know the problem and remedy.. 1. the drivers side carpet front and back is wet and seems to have a mildew smell to it...the previous owner had a crap load of fresheners in there to cover the smell... 2. the coolant has some sludge inside the reservoir and around the cap and down in there a little bit..I also checked the oil and it looks good with no signs of oil in it. 3. the abs stability light comes on sometimes but seems to go off if I turn the car off and restart it.. I"m new to the caddy and would appreciate any help on these issues or input on what to look out for on the 99 STS northstar..

dwhis72.... sorry to respond so late.... do you know how to pull codes on your sts? if so, do that and report what the read is. that will give us some idea as to what the abs/ stability prob is. as far as the carpet being wet..... does the car have a sun roof? have you looked under the car for holes, etc? have you lifted the carpet, and mat so as to try and dry it out. imo, i would at least get the mat (under the carpet) out, so as to try and rid the oder. i would for sure have the coolant changed..... yesterday... very important!!! have you, i hope had a oil change?..... keep us posted, and welcome to the Forum. good luck with the sts! rickyd
