I got an 85 deville n the 3 bolts on the a/c pulley(I'm guessing its the a/c pulley) worked themselves loose sum how. luckily I was drivin to advance auto parts and as soon as i got to a parking spot the pulley came off completly shreddin the belt. Bought a new belt, bolted the pulley back on, installed belt, drove home, cept now it makes a really bad whining sound. I dnt want to take it 2 the shop and pay for sumthn i can fix myself. sum1 tell me wht the hell is tht noise thts drivin me up the ******* wall.

I would start with a new pulley before the bearings lock up. It be good if you identify which pulley we are talking about. Another suspect is the water pump .. that impeller pulley of the water pump cant take much abuse, including the failure of a belt. all of it, easily done by anyone with tool skills. your car is over 20 years old .. you may want to read some of these threads .. will save lots of $$$ in the long run.
