Bought a new belt, bolted the pulley back on, installed belt, drove home, cept now it makes a really bad whining sound. I dnt want to take it 2 the shop and pay for sumthn i can fix myself. sum1 tell me wht the hell is tht noise thts drivin me up the ******* wall.

probably bent something and the bearings are whinning .. I would start with a new pulley before the bearings lock up.

It be good if you identify which pulley we are talking about.

Another suspect is the water pump .. that impeller pulley of the water pump cant take much abuse, including the failure of a belt.

all of it, easily done by anyone with tool skills.

I think the pulley you refer to is the one on the waterpump. Once it comes loose it has worn the bolt holes in the pulley. The whine noise could be that pulley not aligned. Remove that pulley and verify holes are perfect. If not, replace it and install star washers on bolts along with red locktight.
