I have a 91 Seville that has 140,xxx miles on it. Has been running great untill yesterday when I when to leave work it would not start. It does not crank at all and you can not hear the starter click (like the bendix is stuck). I checked the battery has 11.9V tightened the battery cables. Tapped on the starter and check the wires on the starter for tightness. When you turn the key over the digital dash goes dark and comes back on after you let off on the key. One other odd thing I noticed is the shift indicator on the dash usually puts a box around wich gear you are in and right now all of them have a box around them? It does come up with a "service soon" on the display center. Any help or ideas would be great!!!

Do what carnut said. if the starter dont click, you probably got a dead connection if you have 11.9 vdc. tightening w/o cleaning termianls is most likley not going to help. Also charge the battery. 11.9vdc is low. Should get between 13vdc and 14 vdc
