Posted for convenience of the Allante Community and FREE access, ten important pages from the Cadillac Allante Owner's Manual covering common fuses, Maxi fuses, circuit breakers, bulbs, maintenance parts, car specifications, cooling system, fuel system, lubrication system, engine, transaxle / transmission, exhaust system, emissions system, electrical system, fluid capacities, AC system.

I will start with the Phase II cars, but much is the same on all the cars, 1987 to 1993, with of course, the changes between the Phase I, II, & III cars.

At a later time, I will add the SOFT TOP Procedures and the Vehicle Diagnostic System booklet.

more pages  regarding the 4500 engine cars .. Phase II

In your quest for maintenance parts, a few things to keep in mind:

- do not substitute the tail light bulbs, doing so risks melting the lens.

- fuses.  do not substitute or you shall risk a fire.

- wipers, do not substitute or the assy wont fit under the hood.

- radiator hoses .. no longer avail .. substitutes are a must.
(Save old hoses, wrapped, in the spare tire well just in case.)

- serpentine belt .. (save the old one, wrapped in the spare tire well just in case.)

- headlights.  plastic and can be sanded and refinished same as a paint finish.

- cooling system .. requires draining and refill to maintain the headgaskets. (not specified in the manual)
It also requires the supplement (none of this is specified in manual)

- ABS brake systems.  Requires flushing every two years to stay in  working condition.

- Weatherstripping.  Lubricate with Krytex ... (sp .. later )

The specifics for all the above items are in other thread topics in the Allante FAQ section of CadillacForM.com
