This is one of my favorite places, seeing it from my porch as long as I can remember.
Love the place, love the mountain road.

Q: People ask why is Mt Wilson even around today?
A: With steadier air above it than any North American location, Mount Wilson is an ideal location for a field of study known as interferometery. In an interferometer, the light from an astronomical object is collected by two or more telescopes and then recombined at a central location.
