zak,

to your question ..  maybe most, maybe none of these gizmos are for the middle of the road people.
but they sure are fun to look at and wonder what genius hatches inside some people's heads.
After all, someone got rich selling "pet rocks" .. timing is everything.

" Pet Rocks were a fad conceived by an advertising executive, Dahl. The first Pet Rocks were ordinary gray pebbles and marketed as if they were live pets. The fad lasted about six months, ending in December 1975.
In its short run, the Pet Rock made Dahl a millionaire."

A couple of decades ago I proposed an idea to a college Proffesor and was laughed at.  I wasnt the right person with the right connections or the timing was wrong. I later saw it on the grocery markets, totally created by another person.   One never knows.

Sometimes, us Engineers can be pretty wacky.

I'll be damned if I am going to part with "Fred."  He has had a door key taped to his under belly for at least the past ten years and lives with a bunch of other "pet rocks" in my garden!

it is a "praying helmet" with antennas to help receive the message from God.

A highly technical device .. what is it?
note: forget the chicken . it has nothing to do with the gizmo.
