does anyone have trouble balancing 16" chrome wheels from a 99sts?

or, what other componet (s) would give the vehicle a slight shimmy/ vibration at highway speeds.

just put a set of Copper CS4 s on and can't seem to get the wobble out....

any thoughts?

Balancing is simple and straight forward if you have round rims and tires.

If the rims are out or round, there is nothing you can do expect replace them.
Same for the tires.

It could be the tires or not correctly balance in the first place.  Tires can be rebalanced after 100 mile anyway after they are seated all the way.  Not many do that not even me.

Is the wobble in the steering wheel or the seat? At what speed is the wobble the worst? does it diminish as you increase speed or get worse?

hey carnut thanks for jumping in...   i feel it more at highway speeds, tho. know its there always.    at 66 its more pronounced to speed of 77 and up. at 77 and up she's ridin fine.   now dont think im weird, but sometimes its worse than others at the highway speeds.     im wondering if there is a control arm, or rocker arm that might be causing the shimmy.   i see your on now so maybe you can advise soon.... thanks

66 to 77 MPH sounds like tire balance. Move the tires front to back to see if it improves and report back. Are the tires inflated to the spec on the cars door jamb?
