hi, my 1998 sts has no power windows since the battery terminals were shorted. An auto electrician said there was power to the window motors [but he couldnt fix the problem cause he said there were no codes on his diagnostic gizmo]. could it be the switch in the drivers door ? none of the other door switches work either. I really would appreciate some advice as Im a humble oyster farmer in New Zealand, and we have no official dealers ! my car is a Singapore import, I cant get a key for it either here, can I import one from the states ? I do like to work on the car myself. Cheers, Dave.

You have circuit breakers protecting those power accessories and they probably blew. Under the hood you will find a big fuse box and they are in there, 30 amp, they run about $20 each here in Canada and are not generally a stock item even at the dealer so I don't know how you are going to get some.
