Does anyone know how to disable the video in motion feature in the '06 STS? It will play movies on the nav screen while the car is in park, but as soon as you put it in drive, it goes blank. I understand this is a safety feature...But the salesman at the dealer said to look on the forums. But thats all he would say. Any ideas guys?

I have a 2006 STS as well and I posted the same question some months ago and nothing. The dealer told me the same thing they told you. It's strange cause on the CTS they have a way to by pass this and you would think since this is a better car we should be able to do the same. I'm going to take mine to a high end shop as well they can do it just look around first before you let any Joe blow mess with it. jk9833.

Hi There! I am new to this forum - we just bought a 2007 CTS. I have searched for information to allow me to program the NAV System while driving (the passenger - NOT the driver) and I can see by these posts, that somewhere there is information to allow it on the CTS. But so far, I have not found that answer here. Could somebody please let me know where I might find the answer for the bypass here? Thanks!!

I have a 06 as well and my sales person told me to come here as well. Its funny, if you go to the CTS side they show you how to do it for the CTS model But there is nothing for us on the STS side. You would think since our car cost alot more something could be done. I'm going to goto a good guys or Al and Eds to see if they can help.
